about me

A middle-aged white woman with long brown hair smiles in front of an office full of books and plaques

Writing is my passion, my therapy, and my magic. I have been chasing the rhythm of words since I was ten years old, a journey that led me to the University of California, Berkeley, where I honed my craft under the mentorship of literary titans like Robert Hass, Seamus Heaney, Ishmael Reed, and Medbh McGuckian and Alfred Arteaga.

Today, I work in the alchemical space where journalism meets the extraordinary.

Whether profiling entertainers and chefs for the Santa Fe New Mexican and Albuquerque Journal or exploring the quiet brilliance of everyday life, my goal is to pull a subject’s magical essence from their mental library. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Hypnotherapist, I blend clinical insight with creative prose to empower the psyche and illuminate the mind.
